Bahía de las Águilas is a bay in the Caribbean Sea, located in the southwestern part of the island of Santo Domingo, considered the white sand beach with the most crystalline water in the world. Cachote is a hidden paradise in the eastern part of the Sierra de Bahoruco National Park and is characterized by a peculiar rainforest. Once in La Cienega you will leave the asphalted road and begin an uphill path on a dirt road. In Cachote you can find coffee, cocoa and bananas. You will learn more about the cultivation and processing of these products and you will have the opportunity to taste them. As the altitude increases, the climate becomes increasingly foggy and the temperature drops. Upon arrival in Cachote, it is necessary to take a walk in the forest. If the weather conditions are favorable, you can cross the "Nizaito" river on the way back.
